Sprocket App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Sprocket iOS app handles your information. Sprocket is designed to keep your data private by default. It is separate from the privacy policy for this website, which covers our contact form.

Your data stays with you

All vehicle, maintenance, expense, fuel, and odometer records you enter are stored on your device and, when you enable iCloud, in your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database). Sprocket Solutions, LLC does not have access to this data, cannot read it, and never receives a copy.

No tracking, analytics, or ads

The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software. We do not build a profile of you and we do not collect usage data.

No account required

The app uses your own Apple ID and iCloud. There is no Sprocket account, and we collect no login credentials.

Photos and attachments

Any photos or files you attach to a record are stored the same way as your other data, on your device and in your private iCloud, and are never transmitted to us.

Contacting support

The app's "Contact Support" option opens your email app with a message to our support team, pre-filled with basic non-identifying diagnostics (app version, iOS version, and device model). Nothing is sent until you choose to send it. You can also reach us through the contact form on this website.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your control over your data

Your records live on your device and in your iCloud. You can delete them in the app, or remove the app and its iCloud data through iOS Settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
